An exceptional quality mid 19th century steel and bronze firegrate. The finely cast bronze dogs comprising of hooved feet base, surmounted by large urns with rams head and swag decoration and flame finials. The fret pierced with Anthemion design, and semi circular shaped front. Pierced shaped side wings, and shaped cast back with urns and drops. English.
