A good quality mid 19th century Georgian style steel firegrate. The fluted fret with cut oval paterae, tapering cylindrical legs with acathus leaf detailing, urn finials, the side panels engraved with swags and paterae. The shaped cast iron backplate with classical pastoral scene. Mid 19th century.
